• Details:   Gorgeous, very intricate pattern has cut stars, and what look like comets as well as a fans. The border is scalloped and the fans form ridges on the top. This gravy boat shape is also known as a Saucierre or Sauce Boat.  It is strikingly elegant, catches the light from many angles due to its faceted cut patterns.  This is not a vintage item but we thought it was so lovely we decided to bring it to you.  The Vincennes pattern originated in 1998 and may still be produced, however, we did not find any major department stores carrying this gravy boat. This is an excellent piece for households concerned about lead in drinkware and tableware (Diamax Glass).  This is a beautiful piece that would enhance most table settings.

Arc International was founded in 1825 by a Frenchman called Alexander des Lyons de Noircarm in 1825 in the village of Arques in northern France.  From 1897 onward, the company was dominated by the Durand family, who eventually purchased the firm entirely in 1926. Today, the family continues to be the sole proprietors.  Through the years they have grown, they've invented different types of glass and expanded their lines and brands which include: Luminarc (launched in 1948), Arcoroc (launched in 1963), Cristal d'Arques (launched in Europe in 1968), Chef & Sommelier (launched in 2008), and Arcopal (1958).  They have bought and sold many other brands like Pyrex (from 2005 - 2014) and even owned Mikasa from 2000-2008. Diamax is an ultra clear glass that was developed especially for Cristal d'Arques Paris. It looks like crystal but there's no lead content.  It is a technically fabricated glass material launched by Arc International in 2010.  Diamax is used solely for all products under the Cristal d'Arques brand.   It is ultra clear and sparkles like crystal, although it does not reproduce the sound of crystal, it does deliver high transparency and catches the light beautifully like leaded crystal.
